Prophetess Phyllis Young was licensed as a minister in 1983 and ordained in 1989. Prophetess Young is a graduate of Bethel Bible Institute, Jamaica, NY, and received a Certificate in Counseling from Refuge Bible Institute, Freeport, NY; Associates (AS) Degree in Sociology from Nassau Community College, Garden City, NY; and BS Degree in Communications & Management, Adelphi University, Garden City, NY. She is the President of Miracle Bible Institute, Hempstead, NY an Accredited Bible School. Also, she is the Chancellor of Kingdom Life Bible College, Virginia Beach, Va. an Accredited Bible School.

          Prophetess Young retired in June, 1999 from the Human Resources Dept. of the prestigious North Shore Health Systems, Manhasset, NY after 28 years of service. She founded the United Christian Women's Fellowship in 1982. She served in the office of an Assistant Pastor for two years, and Pastor of St. Paul's Greater Faith Church in Hempstead, NY. In 1997, she gave birth to Miracle Christian Center, Hempstead, NY. Currently, she and her husband, Apostle Craig are the Senior Pastors of the Miracle Christian Center. They are Overseers of the United Fellowship Ministries, consisting of seven churches. In August, 2005 the Lord directed them to place their son, Dr. David B. Gates as the Pastor of Miracle Christian Center. They relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia where they are the Pastors and founders of Exousia International Christian Center.  A ministry that is on the cutting edge of what the Lord is doing in the last days.  They are “Building Kingdom People for Kingdom Living.” 

          Prophetess Young is the mother of Dr. David B. Gates, & Evangelist Jacqueline R. Gates, and the proud grandmother of Brittney, Ashley and Jeremiah. Prophetess Young has travelled extensively, ministering to women's groups, church leaders and their congregations, through the Prophetic Anointing, with an on time Word for an end time world.
